Keith & Margo's Ultimate Mystery Dinner Adventure at Old Mill Inn in Dallas

Celebrating 23 Years in Dallas!

Dine, Drink, Deduce and Die...Laughing - all at The Historic Old Mill Inn Restaurant on the Fair Park grounds.

A Dallas landmark dating back to the World's Fair of 1936, the Old Mill Inn is footsteps away from The Music Hall, and The Hall of State...and now features an upstairs performance room with its unique decor designed especially for these interactive mystery dinners. Thematically echoing the greatest examples of whodunnit literature and cinema, the neo-noir Museum of Mystery is a cool, atmospheric setting for an hilarious evening of diabolically entertaining mayhem and comedy.

This event is rated PG-13 (mature situations & subject matter).

About the Experience:

Your package includes an intoxicating combination of:

  • Hors d’oeuvre reception
  • Three-course dinner
  • Cash Bar
  • Professional Incognito Actors surrounding you as “imposters”
  • Ultra Interactive Live-Action Murder Case happening all around you
  • Hilarious “Homicide Detective” to guide you through the process
  • Prizes

Get ready to enjoy an Ultra Interactive Experience designed especially for Amateur Sleuths with a twisted sense of humor!

It will feature contemporary 21st Century plots involving murder, mystery and mayhem and designed for sophisticated adults.

You are literally in the middle of a live-action experience, conducting your own investigation into a homicide case. You are discovering and analyzing hidden evidence and are interrogating the criminal element surrounding you (improvisational actors posing as suspects from the plot) - all the while being treated as a suspect yourself by an hysterical Homicide Detective [professional stand-up comedian] working the case.

Along with motive, means and opportunity, the plot meticulously unravels throughout the evening with a generous dose of humor, a lot of action and a series of clues and leads which take some real unsuspected turns.

Before the mystery comes to a dramatic conclusion, you will be invited to hand in your own solutions. Then, the Homicide Detective, in a suspense-filled final scene, ties all the pieces together and exposes the murderer or murderers -- much to the surprise and delight of the guests. A Prize is then awarded to the most detail-oriented and accurate amateur sleuth.

  • Reception - Arrive at the restaurant, meet your Murder Mystery Host and check in. You receive a name tag, but you can lie and put a fake or funny name on it, or put your own. Remember - after check-in, you do not have to tell the truth about anything from then on!
  • You receive a Welcome Letter with instructions as well as a series of random, humorous ice-breaker questions to use when interrogating other guests. These questions are designed to set a light-hearted mood. The idea is to talk to as many people as possible before someone croaks - your chance to lie to everyone as well!
  • Waiters take drink orders. (Are they all really waiters? Hmmmm...)
  • Guests begin to file into the dining room to sit at round tables populated with suspicious guests and possible imposters!
  • Answer Forms - You get a chance to fill in an answer form with your best guess at what happened and who is guilty. Answers are collected, the crime is solved, and arrests are made!
  • Solution - A prize is awarded for the most accurate answer and also for the most hilarious answers!
